GSDM will consider the limitations associated with the COVID-19 pandemic when assessing dental compliance, community services and other personal experiences. The committee does not identify specific hourly requirements for dental observation. When reviewing applications, the Admissions Committee focuses on a candidate`s bachelor`s degree. Successful completion of a four-year bachelor`s degree from an accredited U.S. or Canadian college or university is a prerequisite for enrollment at Boston University`s Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. Applicants admitted during their final year of study must provide proof of successful completion of the bachelor`s degree before enrolling in the DMD program. The committee considers the candidate`s dental admission test scores, as well as factors such as the quality and difficulty of the courses taken, proven leadership skills, and motivation to study dentistry. Applicants` personal statements submitted as part of the AADSAS application and letters of recommendation are important elements of the assessment. Check out our other articles on the different requirements for dental school by clicking here. We recommend that you submit the AADSAS application by September. Applications submitted at the beginning of the cycle give admissions sufficient time to review a candidate`s qualifications and maximize opportunities to schedule interviews.

Please note that AADSAS will forward your application to dental faculties a few weeks after receiving your documents due to treatment requests. All registered students submit mandatory health and immunization information to Student Health Services. All dental students must be in a state of clinical compliance as determined by the Henry M School of Dentistry. Boston University`s Goldman, Boston University Student Health Services, and national and local requirements. When calculating the admission average, all university courses taken are taken. Boston University`s Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine DMD program is accredited by the American Dental Association Commission on Dental Accreditation (ADA CODA) and meets the educational requirements for dental approval in each state. More information can be found here. Community college courses cannot be applied to scientific prerequisites (biology, general chemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry, physics). Prerequisite science courses must be taken at a four-year accredited college or university in the United States and Canada. If you have science credits from the community college, you will take graduate courses in the appropriate field of study at a four-year institution to get enough prerequisites for the subject.

It is not necessary to retake the core course at a four-year institution if you have at least the minimum credits required in the higher academic achievements in the subject of a four-year institution. The ADEA CAAPID application will be available on the ADEA website from the beginning of March. Applications for the GSDM DMD Advanced Qualification Program can be submitted from early March to November for admission in the following calendar year. Due to processing requirements, CAAPID will forward your application to the dental faculties a few weeks after submitting your documents. To be considered for admission to the DMD program at the Henry M. Boston University`s Goldman School of Dental Medicine, an applicant must hold a four-year bachelor`s degree from an accredited college or university in the United States or Canada, or be enrolled in a degree-granting program before enrolling in the DMD program. We invite you to see our students, alumni, and educators in action in videos that provide insight, detail service learning, explore experiential learning, and give you an introduction to research at GSDM. Credits from a four-year accredited U.S. or Canadian college or university must meet or exceed requirements in biology, general chemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry, and physics. Notifications of decisions are sent from December to July. If an applicant has not yet received a decision, it means that the application will be reviewed. At GSDM, training is competency-based: students are assessed individually and, after proving their competence, progress at their own pace in each procedure. The Admissions Committee will contact the candidates selected for interview invitations. Interviews are scheduled from September to March. The Admissions Committee occasionally sends invitations to interviews to individuals outside of this time limit. We will email you instructions on how to pay the additional non-refundable registration fee of $75.
